Testimonials

As someone with Multiple Sclerosis, it is refreshing to have a practitioner address my brain holistically. She listened to my concerns, honored my physical limitations, and always kept my personal goals in mind to assist in my healing as we worked together. Jen has put together an incredible, patient friendly postural neurology course. I especially appreciate her extensive knowledge in functional nutritional and the impact of nutrition on the brain.

Our daughter introduced us to Jen about 5 months after my husbands’ stroke. We’d completed his OT, PT, and speech therapy, but there were still gaps in his functioning, and we were happy to have ongoing support to help get him back to normal function.

We meet weekly, get new assignments, and review how the week before went. Every week Jen prepares new games, challenges and movements, so there is never any slogging through the same old routine.

He’s made great strides in his balance, memory, and motor functioning. Your work gave us hope that Fred would have the means to make more cognitive improvement, and we’ve not been disappointed.

I started working with Jen when I was unable to eat anything without it causing stomach upset.   Now, a year and 2 months later I’m thrilled to say I feel better than I have in over 10 years!    She helped me move past the fear of eating new foods, and cautiously but methodically encouraged me to try simple whole foods.   She made suggestions, helped me understand how to try them, and even helped me learn how to cook them in a way that supports my body.   I am no longer experiencing stomach upset, and am no longer afraid of eating!   Jen’s guidance is the answer I’ve been looking for!   I highly recommend her!

I enjoyed the series of daily activities that were challenging but not strenuous, which after a few days, had my whole body feeling more competent. This program gave me the opportunity to self-assess strengths and weaknesses, and in addition to feeling great as I met each new goal, I also got to measure my accomplishments as exercises, which were once difficult, I was able to complete with ease.

My dad had a hemorrhagic stroke in May 2018. After emergency neurosurgery, two weeks of inpatient rehabilitation and six months of outpatient rehabilitation his doctors said they had done everything they could for him. We knew my dad was capable of so much more. My sister recommended that my parents work with Jen. Jen drives to my parent’s house once a week and meets with them. She checks in to see if they have any new concerns which makes them feel seen and heard. Each week Jen designs a packet with a new set of exercises to work on brain function, vision, strength, mobility and balance. The packet explains the goal of each exercise and how to perform it. The exercises are challenging, varied and fun. My dad performs the exercises four to five times per week and continues to improve. I highly recommend working with Jen!

It was really fun to take the postural neurology class at a time of year here in Seattle when it is dark and difficult to stay positive. Working with Jen and being around somebody an uplifting as she is while focusing on fun health & mind games was wonderful.
